Quick Obito vs. Minato question

I just want to throw one last wrench into this Tobi/Obito dilemma, the other thread's pretty much dead so I figured I'd get a few quick answers before I get some rest.

1. Why didn't Obito use wood release against Minato?

2. If he was planning on killing Minato, what difference would it had made if he told him who he really was?

hmmm my guess is that obito may have not used wood release since minato can easily dodge them we know minato is short range fighter and kumai is better at short range

what good is wood release against minato... and minato wouldnt of flinched knowing who he was anyway... minato would of protected the village all the same..
