Well Shikaku isnt the smartest his son is smarter than him as this goes with the theme of the new generation succeeding the last. And when did we see any of Shikakus intelligence?

Magellan you for saying Shikaku are "dumb" because there is no evidence that he's smarter than Shikamaru.

Well looking at it in terms of abilities Itachi became Anbu young etc etc.

Genjutsu = Intelligence (Itachi was as far as we know the best Genjutsu user)

Itachi was the youngest probably in history to unlock MS. He unlocked numerous MS abilities.

He fooled the whole of Konohagakure & Akatsuki.

He, as far as Im aware, has never lost a battle and most he can finish in a minute.

So by far imo hes the smartest character.

Agreed. Genjutsu requires high intelligence and chakra control, and amongst the Uchiha clan, a clan noted for their ability in combat, Itachi was seen as a prodigy to surpass the entire clan and lead it to glory. He was a Chunin at an age younger than most ninja passed the Academy. He planned out events almost a decade in advance (Having Sasuke come after him n' such), had wide knowledge, and was capable and smart enough to keep Danzo away from Sasuke, knowing of Danzo's extreme (and somewhat radical) loyalty to Konohagakure.

Edit: Itachi also knew that Madara would try to sway Sasuke, possibly to destroy Konoha, and thus gave his ''gift'' to Naruto, as well as ''Transcription Seal: Amaterasu'' to Sasuke if Madara ever showed his face.

Itachi was pretty pimp.

man o man lol. *catches breath* I am going to point this out as best as possible. Rasengan would have the same effect whether going 100000000mprh or 1mprh. Rasengan was ment to go in conjunction with elemental Chakra to have a greater effect. In reality point of view a hit does hurt more with speed. But since its a fantasy story and kishi has not mentioned that the rasengan would improve impact with speed but with element. So that hole crazy mix up rasenchidori you have going there.....well yeah i leave it there, lol. amusing though have to give you credit for your big imagination. FYI persistence only looks cool on naruto.
