Questions about the Hidden Rain village

1. How is it that a village with some of the most advanced architecture and modern-looking buildings is one of the poorest villages in NV?

2. How is the Hidden Rain (rainiest place in NV) is located next to the land of wind, which is a desert?

3. Now that Konan is dead, who leads the village? Is it in anarchy? (obviously any answer is just speculation)

1)there are probably mountains between the rain village and land of wind. because of that rain clouds that are going south west would get caught in the mountains and land on the rain village and they wouldn't make it through to the land of wind.

2)and they are most likely poor because even though they have that advanced architecture. it is all run down most likely due to constant Civil war (think yugoslavia) and the region has been torn apart by all the great shinobi wars, which would absolutely destroy their economy. not to mention all the rain which would make outdoor economic activities more difficult.

There's a huge grassland between Africa's rainforests and its deserts, its called the savannah

And it's not a rainshadow effect either since the land of wind is closer to the sea than the hidden rain

the entire border of the land of wind is probably a mountain range. and the rain Village is closer to the north sea than the land of wind.
