Questions about Madara and MS

How did Madara obtain his Mangekyou Sharingan? I think the manga stated that him and Izuna killed their best friends but I'm starting to wonder if this is true. This information has never been stated my Madara himself, and both Obito & Itachi have slight differences in their stories of what really happened with Madara.

In the recent chapter, Madara said he "had" four brothers. Regardless if he has all those siblings now or not is irrelevant but I'm wondering if this is how Madara and Izuna awakened their MS. Obito, Shisui, and I think even Itachi were able to awaken their MS without having to kill someone close to them. Itachi told Sasuke you have to kill your best friend for MS but we know that this was a lie.

What I'm getting at is, what if Madara never killed his best friend, or anyone one of his clansmen for that matter? With the way Madara seems to be now, it's hard to believe he would have killed a member of his clan for power when the Uchiha valued love over everything. I think Madara might have obtained his MS by losing someone close to him, which would include his brother(s) that died.

What are your thoughts NB?

Madara and Izuna most likely got theirs MS from their brothers dying. Idk, I can't wait to learn more about Madara's Past.

You dont exactly have to kill the person closest to you for MS, its more like the trauma of the death of the person closest to you that does it, thats how obito got it, when he saw Rin dying, even though he didnt do it.

No, No other Uchiha even knew about MS until Madara and Izuna got theirs, they were the FIRST ONES.

That's possible but it definitely couldn't be a custom, they were the first to obtain MS, right?

Me too! I'm one of the few that like flashbacks because they usually give characters more depth.

Yes, I'm aware that you don't have the kill a close person just experience the pain. I was trying to say this when I mentioned Obito and Shisui but I guess I didn't do a good job

Not necessarily. We don't know if Madara lost 3 brothers other than Izuna at that time or just one. Maybe he didn't experience true sorrow and pain of losing his first brother. He might have obtained MS after his second brother died and so forth... I'm saying he has it now, but it's possible.

Weren't they the first two awaken MS though? I don't remember if they were or weren't.
