Where did Ashura's chakara go when Hashirama died, but long before Naruto was born?

The same question applies to Indra's chakara when Madara died, but when Sasuke wasn't born yet.

Maybe Jiraya and Orochimaru... they might not have the same typical "Eyes & Body" but they have a really similar bond to naruto and sasuke. I think every generation have that "One genius one knuckle head" (Naruto, sasuke + Obito, Kakashi + Jiraya, Orochimaru + Madara, Hashirama)

BTW not saying they hold the same Chakra as them but they each have the same kind of personalities and "Resolve" of Indra and Ashura.

This answer makes sense, almost as though the ferocity of the earlier battle caused their spirits to linger there.
