I could have sworn madara said he created the white zetsu by using hashi cells and the Gedo statue. Now they are saying they are created from people stuck I'm the IT. Am I wrong?

Hashirama was just the vessel Madara used to make copies of him, in the form of White Zetsu.

Kaguya does the same, but she is turning normal people into WZ using the power of the Shinju, instead of the Gedo ( like in Madara's case).

Lol I'm just gonna say this is like when kishi first introduced izanagi. First you needed both powers to get it then he said oh uchihas were using it too much then introduced izanami lol.
