How do you buy a site or "domain" and build it? Can anyone here help me build one in the near future? I know it might sound silly but I don't know too much about those kind of things and I want to make a website for my music, thanks ! =D

Doesn't Go Daddy.com do that? You have to buy the site from them if the name isn't taken and then build it with all that html editing whatnot.

#1. Do not use go daddy... EVER!!!
#2. You buy a domain name to own a URL. You then buy hosting so you can upload content to that domain name.
#3. Learn HTML and CSS to make a static site. Learn Javascript to make it work nicely. Learn PHP so you don't have to change the same thing in 25 pages, you only need to change one page.

I know of a pretty good host if you are interested.

If you are not that interested in learning how to make a website then wordpress would be a good option. It is simple and can handle basic websites very easily. It has thousands of free templates and if you want to learn coding then you could make a custom one. The host I use also has an easy installer.

If not godaddy, what would you suggest i use?

Edit- I wouldn't mind learning either. Its gonna be simple but I want it to look sorta like this..Not exactly just the way its setup

Go daddy retains the rights to your domain name and tries to hold it hostage if you want to transfer it..... NEVER USE GO DADDY. Their support is almost non-existant as well so good luck finding someone to complain to when you want to move your domain name.

I have been using these guys with a lot of success:

They don't restrict you much and they have very good service. You can register your domain name there and get hosting. If you want to get more into learning coding they don't restrict you like godaddy does.
