Why didn't Hiruzen, told the elders to make Itachi the Hokage, when they were all asking Itachi to kill the Uchiha Clan?

In two ways, He would have satisfied both Hiruzen and Danzo.

1- According to Hiruzen, Itachi had will of fire, he had mindset of a Hokage and he knew more about Shinobi world than whole Uchiha Clan.

2- According to Danzo, fighting against Sasuke, he confessed that Itachi had incredible Sharingan which could put an opponent into a Genjutsu easily and he can play with the time, also, he even had trust in Itachi, telling Sasuke that he never thought Itachi would betray the Village.

3- Age can't be the matter, He may be young but he was smart enough to be able to get into Akatsuki as a spy.

So why is that?

He was 13, they weren't about to do that. It wouldn't have been a bad decision by any means, but I honestly don't think that would have done anything.

The Uchiha would have assumed victory and that Itachi would do the best for the clan, not necessarily the village. Itachi wouldn't have, back to the coup.

At 13 they were willing to make a young kid join Akatsuki as a professional spy for the village yet they weren't willing to make him Hokage?

Why wasnt Itachi made Hokage? Because I dont think the adults would be happy getting orders from someone who just hit puberty XD

Yea, because he was a shinobi and that was his job. They can hype him all they want, but they knew that an Uchiha as Hokage would make everyone uncomfortable, especially a young one.

Well i guess i'd blame Hiruzen abit for that then. He was Hokage, he should have made right decision instead of being quiet....

1- Itachi as a hokage, would have helped Uchiha feel less inferior.
2- Making Itachi a Hokage at young age would have simply gave a delightful message to the children of Konoha that if they are on the right path and become strong, they can be a Hokage even at young age like Itachi.
