Some of his Chakra was in naruto so he could see him one last time.

He only sealed a small portion of his chakra within Naruto, as a fail-safe incase the Kyuubi tried to break free. After preventing Naruto from gaining the 9th tail, this chakra vanished.

Now that his soul has been freed from the Death God, he can be summoned via Edo Tensei.

The sealed part turned into nothing, the little chakra he had left just vanished when he appeared to Naruto.

He couldn't be brought back because of the rds, but that is not the case anymore.

He placed part of his chakra in the seal on narutos stomach so he would appear when kurama nearly takes over.
