I'm not a huge tusnade fan but how can you say that danzo who planned on killing any one he thought was unfit could possibly be better then tsunade there are many reasons she got the title like her strength and medical know how and also you say she was the last resort but I seem to remember kakashi (who you also said should have the title) only being nominated because of what happened to tsunade... :shrug:

Exactly, all that can be said for her is her massive strength and healing ability. Massive strength is no good in battle because a monkey could see her coming, so really all she has is healing power which is why she should be the head of the medical corp, not the hokage

That's all you've seen of her in battle: She is revered all over the world for a reason and that is more than brute strength. The fact that she is a student of the God of Shinobi must mean she has plenty of skills.

i cant explain it tbh i just have my own view on hokage title. yes saving lives are important and a good deed but then again saving lives doesnt make you hoakge title. konohamaru saved a life during pain arc so did one of his friends.
a fodder ninja can save a life that doesnt make him hokage material. does it?

Just had to do some dreamcrushing when I read this, I like Minato better than Tsunade but remember:

He was not able to 'take down' Tobi, else he wouldn't be here anymore right?
He did not stop a tbb, he merely 'teleported' it.
He stopped a raging tailed beast. True, but with the cost of his life.
+ Tsunade did not save just 1 life like the 'fodder ninja' you're talking about.

the title of Sanin means everything to the leaf village because they acknowledge their stregnths and skills which are at top master level. Orochimaru showed his ninja skills to the third Hokage, and Jiraiya showed his top ninja skills to Pain which is when he turned into Sage mode that we didnt know of. Now is Tsunade turn to really reveal her top ninja mad skills to Madara. She will show something hidden we dont know of like how Jiraya turned into a Frog sage. Who knows, maybe she'll turn out to be a slug sage Lol. But you should get my point that proves that she deserves to be entitled as Hokage.

she is the weakest of the sannin. we have never seen her using jutsus except summon her slug or whatever it is...
her brute power is nothing more then send chakra everybody can learn this if even that useless b.... sakura was able to learn it. this power is weaker than SM heal heal jutsi was impressive till we know that nothing to the first heal jutsus! she would lose vs pain and even kakashi i think!( alsomost all think this!)
and she isnt smart as shika's dad or else.

But clearly people doesnt consider the worlds best medical ninja that help others to be a valid reason to serve as the Hokage. You just want a kage to have explosives and overpowered jutsus.

Tsunade is a well spirited character with alot of respect for her village, she does whats right for the village no matter what. She would sacrifise her if she had to. Thats what makes her a good Hokage.

There was no one better for the job. I know you will say Kakashi or Jiraiya but do you see any of them sitting in an office filling out all that paperwork? Kakashi is the front line kind of ninja, he was down in the village fighting pain, if he was Hokage he would just be forced to sit in the back and give out orders. Hokage should be a person that can assist everyone on the battle field while also being able to stay in the back and send out orders. Tsunade fits this role. She can stand at the back and use her medical ninjutsu across the battle field while commanding her troops. If Jiraiya was at the back, he wouldn't be able to support anyone with his ninjutsu attacks, he is a front line kind of ninja.
Think about it, all the kage are able to do this, even Raikage because he is fast enough to reach all corners of the battle field really fast.

Just throwing this in there, and I know its a bit late.
But very early on in the series wasn't it mentioned that Hashirama built both the village and the forest around it.
If that is the case, and his chakra remains in the wood then we can state that Hashirama's wood style would only soften the blow to the village.

As for Minato, I'm unsure as to whether or not S/T could absorb a force based jutsu, seeing as there is no physical matter to absorb.

im really interested in this i have yet to see anything tsuanade has done to have the hokage title.
shes better at running a special hospital in the lead village and being the politician worker. but not hokage.. your opinions? on why she does not/or does deserve hokage title?
