Question to Naruto haters

This is a legitimate question, not some ridiculous trash talking.

How can you be a long term fan of Naruto(Manga) and hate Naruto(Character)? I'm not saying this in the sense of "You have to love the main character" standpoint. It's like recently everyone is mad about Naruto(Character) not being realistic, why are you just now complaining?! He has always been like this, literally always, he hasn't changed since Post Zabuza arc. The entire series revolves around the idea that "Teamwork, friendship, hardwork, and the guts to never give up" we're all that is needed to succeed, so why is it suddenly such a big problem?

There are tons of characters in the manga and everyone can't like the same person...


TBH he's not a badass like luffy. And he thinks he knows so much about reality and it's clear that he's immature and naive.

I liked his gutsy stuff but that's in pt1 and that's way over now. Lee is someone else that was gutsy and tried soo hard where others didn't.

Well, some of us like Sasuke because we're not immature morons who use gay as an insult an actually appreciate interesting characters.
OT: Some people like the story for the plot, but aren't fond of Naruto's character. Personally I like Naruto's character but he's nowhere near my favorite

Naruto Uzumaki is oddly a character that "shares the wealth" in terms of screen time and importance to his own story. There are even gaps where he is rarely seen, and characters like Sasuke and even the villains have had ample relevancy to this story.

The way it is setup in this story is that you can easily despise Naruto and still branch off to other aspects to keep you entertained. Unlike other series like One Piece and even Bleach, if you despise the main character it's rather difficult to push through the rest given their heightened importance.

not gonna lie i didn't like Naruto at all in Part 1 and mid part 2.But i learned to get over it since he'll always appear in chapters more than anyone else, so instead of hating him i simply don't care about him.50:50 for me.

I get what you're saying and I thank you for the input, but when I mentioned this I meant like, recently there has been a lot of bash because of TNJ but that's something that should have been expected IMO. I understand that not everyone can like one character though

Who else that is a grown adult would shout out " none of my friends will die " (in a fricking war zone!). Reality proved him wrong anyways, he is very childish in that aspect... Another one "I'm gonna become hokage", when he doesn't know how to run office. Even Sakura has more chances of becoming hokage than him (because she was studied under tsunade).

To me, Naruto is one of my favorites, he's got good and bad qualities like all characters, but as of late, I've been shaking my head at him. For one thing, and I don't mean to compare two separate characters from two different mangas, but he seems to be more and more like Goku in this closing arc (If you wanna call it that). I mean, Obito literally shook the very world of that universe with his travesties, caused worldwide chaos, and all that. And what happens? Naruto tries to pardon him. I know what his MO is, but...idk I'm indifferent on it.

Samething goes for Sasuke, how Naruto is so easily forgiving towards him despite everything.

Just my two cents, but that's what makes his character likeable, is that humanisitic feature he has. But again...that's just me.

1. kakashi in danger mission: i won't let my friends dead 2. reality proved that naruto was wrong only in three aspect. 3. kage bunshin+some experience under tsunade+advisors.... also no one of kages made office work alone.
