Since susano'o ribcage provides an aura of protection rather than just encasing the user in bones. Can it tank rasenshuriken?

Even Madara himself said the Rasenshuriken would have been too much, and had to use the Rinnegan to abosrb it. U_U

Wind is the rarest and most dangerous element, it has no weakness, it pierces through anything, remember kakuzu?? And also danzo his summon was a moron to suck in instead of blow out and got owned (lol) I think dodging and then using susanoo to minimize damage should be a wise choice rather than shield the user.

fire is winds weakness in naruto. if you use a wind tech on a fire then fire gets stronger

He was ripped out of his Susanoo by Gaara, remember?

Besides, the Third Raikage was barely affected by a Rasenshuriken, I don't think the Third Raikage's skin is harder than a chakra armor thingy of Susanoo. If it is, that'd be awkward, and someone should make armor out of his skin.

Seeing 3rd raikage tank rasenshuriken was actually what prompted my question. Still, can someone give me evidence on why the ribs can/ can't tank rasenshuriken.

And the answer is... Rasenshuriken.

  • It doesn't anything to do with the element, it is related to the level. No matter which kind of fire jutsu is being used against the Rasen Shuriken, if this jutsu is not a kinjutsu, then it will be overhelmed even being Fire element. Of course Doujutsu's fire attacks are kinjutsu, so that is another story.
  • Madara, the veteran using EMS, already stated that FRS is way too dangerous against a Susano'o.
  • Kakashi couldn't see through the speed of this attack.
  • FRS attacks at cellular level acting as poison for human flesh. This combined with Madara's statement, would openly create a safe assumption... Susano'o would get obliverated with this attack, even in its perfect form.

The only worthy statement in all of that was Madara's. Problem: he was already pulled out of susanoo so he wasn't talking about susanoo defense when he made that statement.

But he didn't lie. He doesn't have a motive to lie in this matter, so if he pulled out or not his Susano'o, that action or state is really irrelevant. What really matters are his words since he was previous experience from the times of war while he was alive.

I am saying there is no proof that one person is able to summon multiple susanoo without use of a clone so it stands to reason that in order to summon a susanoo one must either take down the first susanoo or have the first susanoo disapate.
He was probably saying it was too much because even with Edo tensei the damage from a rasenshuriken would have taken a long time to regen.

Ah! Now I understand what you mean. Yes, I agree with this.

Madara NEVER said that it was too dangerous against a Susanoo , he only said that it was too much and he was already pulled of Susanoo , so a direct hit from FRS would probably cost him a long time to regenerate .

Also i don't think that FRS is stronger than a Gouka mekkyaku or messhitsu.

Just because the 3rd tanked it doesn't mean the Rib Cage version can considering it was broken by Tsunade already.. besides the 3rd fought the Hachibi and he didn't get severely damaged until he fell on his own attack. Rib Cage gets destroyed.
