Question On Dojutsu?

Now, so far, we all pretty much know how the Rinnegan, and Sharingan plug in..Or at least have a general idea; Sharingan being the Dojutsu that came from the descendants of the Sage's Elder Son, etc, etc..And The Rinnegan, supposedly transforming from the EMS after obtaining Senju D.N.A. (In Madara's case, which is the only real one we've seen.) But, what about the Byakugan? Where does that Dojutsu plug in? So far we cannot logically confirm whether or not the Hyuga descend from the Sage of the Six Paths, but I am curious to see what other people have to say about how the Byakugan, and Hyuga fit into being.

It is branch off from the Shraingan which mutated. It was suppose to be the other-way around, but the only logical conclusion I got from it.

I remember that Neji, and Kakashi mentioned that as a "legend" which is why I didn't really consider it..But I suppose it would make some logical sense. But even so, I think Kishi should grant us some confirmation..(which most likely won't happen.)

I honestly think the weakest Dojutsu in Naruto is the filler-saga one that..Ranmaru possessed. And then following would probably be 1 Tomoe Sharingan lol.

What about Kurenai's demon eye?

OT: Weather it is linked to the sharingan or not is hard to say as there is no solid proof in the manga to neither confirm it nor deny it. But on thing is certain if it is linked then it's a secondary watered down version of the original dojutso. Just like the sharingan is the result of DNA lineage decay from the Rinnegan, the Byakugan should be (if related) a watered down version of the sharingan.

This argument gains substantial weight when we consider the fact that although capable of Genjutso (controlling the Juubi feat), the Rinnegan has shown very little if any Genjutso capabilities. It's obviously not entirely above it's capabilities but it definitely not it's strongest attribute.
The watered down version of the rinnegan, the sharingan, however evolved towards the mastery of Genjutso. So despite of having lost almost all great characteristics of the parent dojutso, the child dojutso perfected and evolved one of the characteristics becoming to all purposes and intents better in that specific field than the superior rinnegan.
The same thing should have happened to the Byakugan which, following the same logic, dropped all the major characteristics of the sharingan short from a couple ones and then advanced those further, becoming more advanced than the sharingan at vision and reading chakra.
