Question? How is Itachi>Madara

I recently just re watched the sasuke and itachi fight and itachi clearly stated that once he takes sasuke's eyes he would surpass Madara because Madara is a bitter sore loser. He realized that without sasukes eyes he wasn't stronger than Madara. So I don't understand why people think itachi>Madara when really Madara>itachi you can see my avatar I like itachi more than Madara. And plz I know someone might say that itachi lied abut him and Kisame not being to beat jiriya together in part 1 but that was before Kisame and itachis true powers were seen
