Hardwork didn't give him his never ending stamina, increased healing factor or kyuubi mode.
Before getting KCM, whenever naruto went up against a strong opponent he couldn't beat, it was the kyuubi that ended up finishing up the job, not 'hard work'
As for that KCM argument. He had the help of a Jin and his mother's super binding. So, at the end of the day, It still wasn't harrrdddddwork that got him KCM, it was the help of others.
So, in short, If Squidward became kyuubi jin, he'd shit on kakashi. When kakashi's about to kill him, he goes 3 tailed rage mode and it's bye bye kakashi.
Oh, and Your bijuu doesn't need to like you. Most people just made their bijuu their ***** through force Lol
