It didn't say anything about Madara, Toneri told Hinata about Hagoromo that he remained on Earth to build the shinobi world (it showed him along with his two sons Asura and Indra) and Hamura that decided to remain on the moon to guard the Gedo Mazo from stealing.. Then he said something about the statue, that was stolen and Ten-tails was revived again... in that moment it showed a picture with edo-madara.. Sorry if my english is bad,

Only in the very beginning they show the shinobi history, Madara vs Hashirama was very brief but shown in flashback style.
