Question about the Outer Path(Rinnegan)

I remember Nagato couldn't revive Jiraiya I believe because it was too late (or he didn't have enough chakra?) or something like that.

This doesn't make sense because Obito revived Madara who was dead decades ago. I feel like I'm misinterpreting something.

Also do you feel that Sasuke will revive someone? Possibly his parents, Itachi, maybe Obito?

I think because Madara was an edo, he was able to be revived, since his soul was close to Earth.
Probably wrong though...

i dont know how it works exactly. maybe it was because jaraiyas body was gone. but madara revived from an edo. just call it plot.

madara didnt intend to even be an edo. how did he think he was getting a young body when the time was right? he died old...

Jiraiya was already to deep in the ocean. Reviving him may have killed him again due to the pressure. I thinking it was because Jiraiya's body was too far out of range.

In my educated guess, I think it's because Madara was actually there (technically and somewhat "alive" via his soul being pulled from the afterlife and being bound to a body with Edo Tensei). I think it is for this reason and this reason only that he was able to use RinneTensei on Madara.

I guess it was plot, Jiraiya had one of the best deaths in the manga, so maybe that was the reason...

And hell no, Sasuke won't revive anyone. This way he'll throw his own life away, remember?

Madara had a medium holding his soul, while Jiraiya had been dead for weeks after Nagato killed him.

It assumed it was hard to retrieve his soul with the amount of chakra his possessed at the time. You have to remember he had resurrected the fallen in Konoha. Jirayai's body was in the Hidden Rain Village.
