Did Obito control Yagura when he was still it's Jinjuuriki? I always thought so but starting to think not.

what's the time line of events for the 3tails

this isn't making sense Kishi need to fill in the holes about it.

My (probably incorrect theory) is that yagura was its jinchuriki, then the sanbi was removed without his death (maybe removing a bijuu from a perfect jinchuriki is different somehow. Just a theory.) then placed into rin. This made yagura able to be controlled by genjutsu as he was no longer a perfect jin. When rin was killed it was brought into the world to roam free for tobi and deidara to capture. Just my theory.

Most likely because the core members of the Akatsuki weren't formed yet.

Yagura most likely died and Isobu was revived some after and decided to chill in the lake.

This would be the only thing that would make sense to me. If Yagura was being controlled he would've had to be controlled at all times and therefore if someone tried to kill him Obito should would stop it. Nvm Obito was just out of Madara's cave when Rin died so Yagura came after Rin.

This doesn't stack up with the timeline. The time Rin died was the first time Obito escaped from Madara's cave. That puts Rin as the jinchuriki before Yagura. Only after Rin died did Obito start the moons eye plan. When Obito was talking to Kisame for the first time he referenced infinite tsukiyomi thus confirming that Yagura had the Sanbi after Rin.

Also too things are unconfirmed so far a) when or if Yagura had the Sanbi during the time Obito was controlling him and; b) if Yagura was in fact a perfect jinchuriki since Danzo only speculated that he may have been. Nonetheless we know that the Sanbi was seperated from Yagura before its capture which means that Yagura either died whilst it was in him or that it was extracted then escaped. IMO its more likely Yagura died.
