i think each susnoo is diffrent because every uchiha has different mangekyou sharingan

The color of Susanoo is based on the bearer or "user" in this context. Sasuke felt hatred and turned to evil ways so his is Dark. Itachi's is ml Red because he still believes in good nd has forgiven the Leaf.( As you coul see in the manga)
Now imagine naruto having it. Hmmm. I geuss it would be white due to him cleansing himself of all the hatred ( when he fought the Kyuubi....

I like your theory, but I have a different one. I think that when you have MS your Susano'o is at it's weakest. EMS adds to the armor, and the Rinnegan finished things off.

Itachi's Susanoo had armour...
