Question about Summoning Elemental Jutsu.

My question is, the elemental jutsu that require to be summoned for example above the user, what's the distance the jutsu can be summoned at?

Jutsu:

(Suiton: Haran Banshō) - Water Release: Storm Upheaval
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.​

Eg: Opponent: I summon a massive amount of water one meter above your head.

The jutsu has poor description, and thus saying "summon a massive amount of water from the sky". There isn't any specific distance, which the lack of description can be taken at an advantage, thus summoning the water so close above the user, he has no time to react, as the water smashes down on him which can lead to great damage eg. spikes rising below.

"Sky" Meaning the space above ground if you check the encyclopedia.

I actually agree with you. Either way I am sure that it does not instantly summon the water. My guess is that water gathers up above the opponents head and on the opponents command comes crashing down upon them. In this case it could be easily blocked because you would notice the big ass shadow under you. I could be wrong though.

The jutsu is being misused completely, the water is summoned at the user and then rushes towards the opponent, though description sucks as I said before, I'm not sure.

Well when I was training in water ninjutsu. My description of it was that I used the water from the clouds in the sky to create a huge body of water and that passed with my sensei.

It is vague but Theres no way they can materialize a body of water above u that huge in a split second to the point where it can kill u because 1.) Thats impossible unless u just sit there and let the water pressure build from the insane amount of water and 2.) How can water made above ur head even hurt u? One reason this jutsu does this much damage is because of the impact it does from fallling from the sky but thats just my oppinion...

I don't think that u can do that anyway lol U would need to know sealing jutsu to summon something in the way ur speaking or have it already sealed into a scroll. Its not a summoned creature xd
