Question about Shikamaru..

Okay, i have a question about shikamaru.. Where do you think he got his brilliance from? Does it run in his clan, or was he just born with it..(his father doesnt seem brilliant, but looks can be deceiving i guess..) The guy seems very lazy so I dont think he got his brilliance from hard work..
And another question.. What If shikamaru trained very hard so he will be stronger, not just his brilliance, but imagine if he really increases his ninjutsu plus other abilities..? He could become one of the strongest village shinobi.. Just imagine him being very strong plus his brilliance combined... I always wonder this..

Shikaku is pretty intelligent as well, he was the only one to beat Shikamaru in 'go' or whatever it is called. Also he came up with the joint forces' battle plan. Yeah he could become stronger but there is a point which people hit when they just can't get better. I mean no matter how much he trains he isn't going to increase his chakra by that much, physical energy is only part of chakra.

Shikaku is very intelligent, and lazy, just like his son.

As far as getting stronger, this will only come as getting smarter, wiser, and stuff like that.

And who told you Shika didn't train to get new powers and stuff. It is just that Kishi hasn't showed what he is capable of

But just imagine if shikamarus will was strong like naruto, or if a top ninja or sanin like jiraya(before he died) was his master... I think he could have improve his jutsu and abilities pretty much.. And here is another question,lol srry.. How does shikamaru train his mind to grow stronger.. I dont think its just playing go...

So your view is that shikamaru got his brilliance from his dad introducing him to strategy(games, etc.) as a kid..? I guess its a good guess... But wait a minute, his laziness probably has something to do with this...Maybe as the lazy tipe he has putten more thought into things than most people that acted instead of thinking.. I mean just relaxing, or watching the clouds at a very young age got him thinking about things more than other active kids..?

Yeah, thats right!!! =p. And he is smart, the big question is where did he get his brilliance, and what does he do to excercise his brain other than strategy games
