Why is it that when Preta Path absorbed a rasenshuuriken from SM Naruto he didn't turn to stone?

He was absorbing senjutsu chakra, was he not?

--

Shouldn't SM be the ultimate counter to Preta Path then, because any ninjutsu mixed with senjutsu chakra will just turn its opponent to stone if it were to be absorbed?

Hmm, maybe Naruto didn't add senjutsu chakra into technique? He was in sage mode to have more chakra reserves, imo.

He had more chakra than the rasenshuriken.

He didn't turn into stone because Naruto balanced out the chakra equally into the Rasenshuriken

Preta can probably absorb small amounts of senjutsu chakra that the effects of unbalanced Nature chakra won't turn it to stone.

The Preta Path turned to stone because it was absorbing senjutsu chakra from Naruto while at the same time Naruto was drawing more into himself.

There isn't any senjutsu chakra in rasenshirken.

He only uses sage mode to throw it, not to create it.

If he added senjutsu it would be an entirely new jutsu

He does add sage chakra to it, that's why after 2 rasenshuriken he runs out of sage chakra

That's because of the chakra he has to use in order to throw it. not what he puts into it.

If he is adding chakra then why is the technique the same when he VS Kakuzu and when he VS Pein?

If he added senjutsu to it then it should have changed in some way shape or form. All he did is use the senjutsu chakra to throw it

There has to be a difference between absorbing natural energy into your body and absorbing an attack from it. The Pain body that turned to stone was absorbing the senjutsu chakra just like Naruto does when he charges it up and thanks to not being able to balance it he became a stone toad. I would say attacks used are already balanced when used.

He does add senjutsu chakra to the rasenshurikan. By adding it he can control the rasenshurikan better, thus allowing him to throw it.

Sort of. In order for that to happen though, it took all of Naruto's Senjutsu chakra. So SM Naruto's ninjutsu wouldn't work, but if he used all of his senjutsu chakra attacking preta path, it would work. However, considering BSM obviously has a lot more senjutsu chakra than SM Naruto, it would definitely pose a problem for preta path.
