Should I watch it or not? If so, can you please give me a reason to and write a short summary without giving out big spoilers.

+ rep to anyone who goes through the trouble.

Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away. His travels lead him to Tokyo in the 11th year of the Meiji era, where he befriends a female Kendo master, a former thief, a brawler and a doctor all with their own secrets. Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape.

Worth watching.
Kenshin is a samurai that used to be known as battousai the manslayer and he's sworn to never kill again. He meets a few friends and along with them struggle to protect their dojo, friends, and the new post Meiji Restoration government. He fights many other famous people such as members of the Shinsengumi and Oniwabangumi.

YES! Most definitly!

If you like great story in Edo japan and great swordmanship, go for it!

Read Vagabond, Gamaran and Basilisk as well..

Btw, there's a real action movie about it as well that came out this year. Check it out, it's not that bad. and will tell if you're up for the story or not.

Rurouni Kenshin also known as Battousai was an assasin who helped carve his way into the meji era by overthrowing the shogunate with his legendary swords skill.
But after the fighting came to an end he basically felt remorse for all those who had to die to to build a better Japan.

First part of the series focusing on his new friends (whome he meets whils protectign them, he decides to stop wanderign and settle with them.

a while in the series the ghosts of the past come back and he once again is asked to fight a group of skilled fighters whos leader is a rutheless killer who wants to overthrow the governement and throw Japan once again in chaos and the days where murder was common.

So basically Kenshin decides to once more pick up his sword to protect and make his country a better place.

this series is outstandign and is a def must watch if u love anime, its a classic.

ive seen like 2-3 episodes of it, and i dont consider it good, but enough for me to not forget it in my mind and watch it in the future. anyways, that anime's has already a live action movie watch it on chia anime. but before that search the real title. and i think live action is good before you watch the episode i mean that's a lot of EP.

Basically what everyone else said just bare in mins the last arc in the anime is considered to be filler because it never happened in the manga. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I did.
