Question About Road to Ninja

As the title says, I have a question about the sixth Naruto Shippuden movie.

So, I know it's been awhile since the movie came out, but I was watching it today and noticed something. After Naruto and Sakura went to the genjutsu world, it shows Itachi is in the Akatsuki. I don't mean before they went to the genjutsu world though; not during that Akatsuki as Zetsu clones scene.

Why is Itachi in the Akatsuki in that world also? Didn't the Uchiha massacre never happen? I don't know if Kishimoto ever answered this, but I was hoping someone on here could answer for me.

That world is the opposite so the Akatsuki are mercenaries hired by Konoha I think.
I don't know why he was in the Akatsuki though, maybe Sasuke did the massacre and was so screwed up in the head he became a 'player'

He was a spy, as always. The massacre never happened thigh his corcstances were different.

Akatsuki weren't bijuu hunters there. They were assasins imployed by other villages. In the movie Tsunade sent them to help Naruto.
