Normally I'm pretty good at understanding things about Naruto (and just in general) but one thing I don't quite understand is how the Rinnegan works.
From what we've seen Madara can use Susano'o while having Rinnegan activated. So this at least lightly suggests that Madara's rinnegan eyes also possess the abilities of the sharingan as well. Theoretically, Nagato should have also had access to the Sharingan abilities as well since he had Madara's eyes. But we've never seen him use any such abilities.
Now for techniques such as Susano'o, Amaterasu, etc, i can understand, but perhaps he could have had access to some more basic sharingan abilites such as precognition and the ability to see chakra in different colors? Do those come automatic with a sharingan? It's probably a stupid question and I'm thinking way too hard into it anyway, but go ahead and tell me what you think.
