Question about old anime serie...

Hi guys, I did not know, where to put this thread, so I am sorry if it is in wrong section

When I was younger I used to watch an anime serie on Super RTL about little girl who lost her father (or was looking for him). But she got a red robot, as a guardian, which could transform into improved version to protect that girl. That robot had also a "twin brother" who was on a dark side, but they could connect together their parts and become invincible. Please, tell me the name of that serie, because I am hopeless with looking for on the internet

OMG! I know that! Question: I remember a certain ep where they are in the desert at night and the red robot put's the girl in his arms to protecht her for cold or something..? And did the girl had brown short hair?

I cannot remeber her haircut, but I remeber this episode too... That red robot had a sibling (black /blue robot) but only red-one was chosen to be the guardian of this girl.
