question about Obito's Kamui

hey guys, first post here... ive been wondering something about Obito's Kamui ever since it was shown a few weeks ago.

So, When The Fourth Hokage stood atop of the Mountain with the previous hokages, and used his jutsu to deflect the Nine tails attack, you guys know which part. Tobi appeared behind Minato and tried to suck him up, but Minato teleported to the safezone outside the village....How did Tobi appear at the safezone moments later???????

Did he use his Kamui to enter another dimension, then say "take me to where the 4th is" kinda like the "room of requirement" in Harry potter????

Did he enter another dimension, and traveled in it through space and time searching for the fourth until he found him???

How does it work man????? and Will Kishi explain how it works????? I hope he does cause im very interested in this aspect of Kamui.....

What do you guys think??? am I over thinking this?

i think most likely time flows differently in the kamui dimension so when he teleports to it it may seem like days or so kinda like tsukuyomi but in the normal dimension its seems like only seconds giving the impression of being almost instantaneous

i think it will be explained later, but as i see it, he just senses like zetsu, but teleports to get there faster instead of traveling through ground like zetsu. I dont think he can travel different places through kamui and he has to be a sensor type im sure

I liked Okami's answer. Obito having control of the space and time inside Kamui is a pretty fearsome ability. And if Naruto is in there, I don't know how the hell he's gonna get out of this one.

Both Tobi and Minato can sense where people are, that's how he found Naruto (Five kage summit, Sasuke) etc.

He might have some tracking device like white zetsu spore for instance or if that Tobi was Obito, he knows how ftg works, since Obito is Minato's pupil afterall...

I were thinking the same thing..n concluded that Tobi should not be able to travel than the average shinobi speed but can pass through anything through Space time ninjutsu.

The reason is that Tobi had to use Izanagi to escape Konan's paper bomb attack. If he could teleport anywhere, he would just do it without any issues.
