[Question] Question about NB Contest

So, today I got 2nd for a AotW contest and decided I was going to change my username. Here's two sources I read about being able to change it and I'm conflicted about whether I can or cannot becuse I did not win first but rather 2nd:

The specific contest rules are what take precedence, so, yes you may change your username.​
