Question about narutos seal

Guys, in the series where naruto fights pain there is an episode where naruto goes 8 tails mode.
The Kyuubi tells naruto to give him his soul, afterwards narutos shirt rips open and the seal melts.
Ok so i have a few questions regarding this

1)when the seal melted what did it mean, was that naruto giving him his soul or anything of such

2)When naruto enters his mind theres that HUGE gate, and theres a seal keeping them closed.
If thats the seal, whats the seal on narutos stomach.

PLEASE ANSWER, Im kinnnda confused.

1)When the seal melted it meant he was giving his soul to the kyuubi but Minato saved him

2) The huge gate and the jail kyuubi is in are on Naruto"s stomach, and the seal on Narutos stomach is the kyuubi sealed.

the jail cell you see is a mental manifestation of the seal the tailed beasts are seal with in the body of the host but when it's host wish to speak with the tailed beast it would manifest however they wish. remember the naruto that is in the cell area is a mental projection of him the seal is on naruto thus a mental version of him would have the seal on him and the same for the place where the tailed beast is kept would be sealed...........
