Question about Nagato's CT

When he activates CT how come he doesnt get caught in the CT? Does that mean that the spot in which Nagato is standing is immune to CT's gravity orb?

Same reason Sasuke doesn't get burned by holding black flames. Some techniques just don't affect the users.

He throws the ct at a certain distance from himself, ct has a range.


I also notice that ct can't pull people who are in the air was well (gaara).
