Okay I just thought of this randomly..
Right, So you know how when Shinobi leave their Villages (for their own reasons) and join up with Akatsuki, it's customary for them to take their headbands and slash a line through the village icon symbolising their loyalty is no longer with said village?
My question is Why did Konan & Nagato do this if they never really left their Village?
Think about it, they were always loyal to Amegakure, even whilst with Akatsuki they were still based in The Hidden Rain constantly watching over civillians and on the look out for intruders, Realistically they were never Missing-nin all they did was overthrow Hanzo and took charge of Amegakure.
So what's with the Headband?
