Question about Minato vs. Itachi

Since the Flying Thunder God technique is not a kekei genkai, isn't it technically possibly that Itachi could copy the technique with the sharingan and use it to his advantage as well, assuming Minato provides the seals in their fight? Just a thought. (And i wanted to see how the Minato fanboys would try to defend their master xd)

I don't think it's possible, copying techniques doesn't work like that. The copier still has to be able to do the jutsu

and fuinjutsu is a totally different ball game...
Though itachi does have some experience in fuijutsu, i don't think he would be able to reproduce FTG by looking at it.

Well, the seals used on the kunai are based off of the uzumaki seals that he was taught by kushina. It's a special seal that he would probably have to analyze for a while before being able to use it. Even then it would probably take a while to master it efficiently as it took three jounin to perform it during the war arc.

Just because it's a fuinjutsu doesn't mean he can't do it... aside from rasengan and chidori pretty much every jutsu is just a combination of hand seals that mold the chakra and allow the user to use whatever jutsu it goes to. The sharingan doesn't copy the hand sighs only, it also copies the fundamentals of the jutsu. Physically there's no reason the sharingan couldn't copy it's abilities.

These aren;t just any regular seals that can be copied. These are seals that were based off of the legendary uzumaki clans designs and specialized for combat use by minato himself. Only he and the few jounin he taught actually knows how they work. If he doesn't know how they work, then he can't use it.

But doesn't the sharingan copy ANY jutsu...? It doesn't really seem like you need to KNOW anything to use it, it teleports you to a seal. Seems easy. The seals are already provided by Minato. Hell, if he can, he could even teleport directly to minato seeing as how he caries around the special kunai. Aside from seal prep. i believe the sharingan could copy all other aspects of the technique.

I don't think sharingan can copy such high level fuinjutsu, but with itachi, you can't say. If he can do that, that would be the worst opponet possible for minato. xd

I still say the only ability itachi doesn't have, is the ability to make the seals himself. Other than that i think it's entirely possible.

I don't think level matters... kakashi copied a 44 hand seal jutsu easily. Haha

Kakashi was an incredibly young Anbu Captain(much like Itachi)
Kakashi has made a signiture of copying jutsu with his Sharingan(more than Itachi)
Kakashi has low chakra(much like Itachi)

These 2 are so alike if Kakashi can't use it I would bet it's because he doesn't have the chakra and so Itachi probably couldn't either.

I don't know if he can't use it, he just doesn't really need it. Chidori requires a large amount of speed to be able to penetrate, moving in close to the enemy doesn't help that. And also he doesn't know how to create the seals. Neither does itachi, but i already addressed that.
