Remember how he was disgusted that Zoro was begging Mihawk to train him and he thought it was dishonorable? But isnt Mihawk sucking the WG? Didnt Mihawk bow down to his enemy(WG)

So why didnt he like Zoro doing it? Didnt he do the same?

The WG came to his door steps sucking up on him, they needed him so they begged him.

He only caved in when Shanks had Yonkou business to attend to, it was his only way of clashing with his old time rival without any official interruption.

Mihawk is the Shichibukai who come the least in meetings according to Doflamingo(the least expected) and when he became bored of the war, he left. Clearly he doesn't care about the governement and do what he wants. Won't be surprised if it was the governement who pledged him to become a shichibukai, not the way around and probably Mihawk accepted just because he didn't want to be assaulted by admirals in daily basis. Having a yonkou level fighter up in the air like this is surely a threat to them especially if they judged they didn't have strong enough resssources to handle him. Better make him a friend of us

The only reason Mihawk is a Shichi is so that he can fight and take part in big events like MF. Also, as Law stated. Being a Shichibukai gives you more freedom.

Not really, he's not bowing down for them and from what we've seen he just sits in his castle all day so he isn't really doing anything for them.
I think it's just the perks of the job Mihawk is in it for like security and not having people coming after him constantly.
