What improvements Kabuto made in Madara? If madahara had already get Mokuton, after the fight with Hashirama why he deployed again?

That is very confusing because in the manga, Kabuto claimed that he made improvements in Madara.. Madara answers that it wasn't Kabuto but himself that made him better then he was in his prime
