This pretty much sums it up. Though the last part/question, I believe that Madara just wanted to control the Kyubi for it's power in general, with the intention to use it against Hashirama. (Splitting hairs, I know...)

Ans 1)He got it through Genjutsu. I'm not sure where he got it from.
Ans 2)one of his Sharingan's Genjutsu or Mangekyō Sharingan's Genjutsu.
Ans 3)He used Kurama(Kyuubi)to help in his fight with Hashirama at the Valley Of The End.

Well to me it seems that you might have skimmed the chapters or something. The answers to those questions have been answered for a long time now.

Madara found the 9tails out in the wild and used his Sharingan to put it in a genjutsu and control him. This also allows him to use the 9tails as a summoning.

Madara used the 9tails as a tool against Hashirama. Aside from wanting to defeat Hashirama he also wanted to copy his wood techs with the Sharingan and obtain a sample of Hashirama's DNA so he could awaken the Rinnegan.

The other reason Madara needed the 9tails was to eventually use it to revive the 10tails and complete his eye of the moon plan.
