Question about Itachi!

I just recently read on naruto-Wiki that Itachi was on of the few who knew who were Naruto's parents. He knew about Minato and Kushina!
Since he was so young the day of his birth and the 3rd Hokage already kept everything secret how did he know?
Has it been shown in the manga or anime from where does he know?
Or possibly the 3rd trusted him so much that he gave him all these intels?
Anyone can help, i am just curious!

SIMPLE, when Kushina was pregnant, she met mikoto holding a baby sasuke, and they talked for a while with the third hokage's wife, then they left, that same night the fox attacked and Itachi was shown baby-sitting sasuke, so if you put that all together, it could be explained that after mikoto went home

she told the news to itachi and fugaku, ya know?? :I

and itachi seemed mature enough to know, minato and kushina

when he bacame captain (age 13) minato and kushina were dead! But it makes sense as a captain to have intel. Mikoto is also possible if she didnt follow the 3rd's orders to the letter

Even Kakashi and Tenzõ knew too, even though they had a smaller role in the village (theoretically).

Technically, ANBU-members should know the basic information of Jinchûriki which involves parents.

Furthermore, since Itachi joined Akatsuki, I believe Hiruzen or Elders told him everything about Naruto since Akatsuki captures Bijû's.

This right here. I mean even common villagers knew Naruto was a jinchuriki. From flashbacks most of the parents would shuffle their kids away from Naruto because of it. Plus Itachi was ANBU and the in the village the night the Kyubi attacked Kanoha. Kushina knew Itachi's mom on some level at least.

Put all that together with the fact that the Akatsuki hunt bijuu therefore most likely gathered a great deal on all the Jinchuriki and you can see why Itachi had so much knowledge on Naruto.

You are probably right but I think Tsunade knew as well. The 1st time she met Naruto she kind of made the comment that this is the kid. I think she knew as well. Seemed like Orochimaru knew as well during the Chunin Exams so it's safe to assume that the Sannin had knowledge on Naruto as well.

Naruto's mom and sasuke's mom where friends.

It's only natural that Sasuke will get a playmate from a family friends soon.
