Question about Edo Tensei

I don't really understand how this jutsu works. When the Edo tensei user use this jutsu, it takes back the soul of the one who needs to be resurrected in another body, right? In this case, the guy would be resurrected in the exact same state as when he died, or am i wrong?

Then why Itachi for example wasn't blind when he was resurrected? Sasuke even stole his eyes, so normally he should not even have had Sharingan, or am i wrong?:shrug: The same goes for Nagato whose eyes were stolen by Tobi. But curiously Nagato in the contrary was revived weakened like when he died. Plot?

it's tricky to me too...like nagato couldn't walk but he wasn't as drawn out and frail as he was when he fought naruto. at least that's how it looked to me....

itachi and nagato died when they still had their eyes...so thats why they were ressurected with them... and itachi was probably still blind...who knows?..:scorps:

The manga has been inconsistent with regards to that jutsu.

are retained though. There's nothing in the manga which states how people are revived with Edo Tensei; nothing says they're brought back in their prime, nothing says they're brought back how they were just before they died. Nothing.

The answer to your question hasn't been answered in the manga and probably never will be but personally, I think the edo is resurrected at the time in which the DNA is aquired because it would answer a few of the inconsistencies found with the edo tensei.

can't be prime. nagato would've been able to walk. you would also have to think that muu wouldn't have needed the full body wrap. you can't exactly be in your prime covered in steam burns could you?

Kabuto takes DNA from the corpse of the person he wants to revive say he wants to revive Itachi he takes a piece of his flesh and buts it in his scroll creates the formula brings a living body and than uses the formula and a bunch of paper covers the said living body and turns the body into the deceased persons body who in this case is Itachi

Remember that Nagato has normal red hairs, but when he was revived they were white, so he was weakened at that time. I think there is something weird there, especially when you notice that Sasori for example wasn't revived as a puppet, but he had a real body, but Madara was revived with EMS and even Rinnengan when it wasn't even his eyes(it's Izunas eye), so i think he could not have been revived with EMS

Its easy, do not know why people find this complicated. If u get the DNA of the Corpse it will be revived as it was before his death. Like Nagato who was still lacked power cuz of the overuse of them. And Itachi still with his eyes on. Maybe its a time aspect of how u think about it.
Well if this is true then its highly possible that madara corpse never lost his eyes, it was on 3 tomed and not rinnegan mode after he got ressurected~

Puppet => Death ,but with that heart Kishi made it look like he was alive.

And if it still doesn't explain then its a Plot-hole.
