[Discussion] Question about birdcage

So I stopped watching the anime around beginning of new world because I couldn't wait every week to see what happened to law (punk hazard I think I stopped)

With that being said

I watched clip on YouTube last night where kinimon zoro and painter dude all embude their weapons with haki to try to hold bird cage back (along with the others etc)

Now my question to you guys is why? Do u think the strings could've broken zoro's and co weapons


And was the cage covered in haki itself? I mean I do not beleive zoro would just put haki on his swords for no reason (and usually it's used for either increased defense or offense yet zoro was being complelyy defensive)

Zoro got pushed back as we'll as a lot of others quite a bit so it would be some strong haki and strings that is apart of bird cage

So how much haki do u think doffy put into the cage I mean it did keep an admiral shit ton of collosium fighters and the right hand man to the straw hats at bay ... To the point that no one could do anything about it except hold it in place (ppl claim zoro can cut it but after watching that little scene I'm convinced he can't ... At least not in base maybe with Asura or something) but yeah how much haki etc do u think doffy put into that cage and do u think there was a chance it could've affected doffy in his fight with luffy similar to how law was saying gear 4th was using so much haki (and how other members claim that luffy used a lot of haki to stop bellemy and tank his attacks etc)

I also got a bird cage and 2 birds at home but it was pretty small so i had to let them fly in my house every day, which lead to them shitting on furnitures. One of them then died, so i had to give the other one to friends due to the fact that these kind of birdscannot live alone

None. Doflamingo put no Haki into the birdcage. The allied forces used Haki to try and stop it since Haki is known to counteract Devil Fruit abilities (though not necessarily DD's) and it also would increase the amount they could push it back. Doflamingo didn't imbue and Haki in it or it would've been black rather than white, no? And as far as "cutting the strings" of the birdcage, I don't think it's possible. If Zoro and Fujitora couldn't cut through it, my guess is that it's uncuttable. I guess it functions more as a cage than a set of strings.

Also, if they could cut it, RIP 60% of Dressrosa's plot..
