As you said yourself, Sasuke had no means if defending himself due to being immobilized. That's soloing, winning a fight and how you take down an opponent.

but Naruto was using chakra arms moments after Sakura arrived, he was far from defenceless.

(1) the fact the he used his chakra arms "after" the initial engagement against Shin in his disfavor doesn't change the fact that he was getting owned.

(2) lol read the manga, Shin actually broke through Naruto's defense using sasukes sword.

Don't get me wrong, Naruto & Sasuke are stronger then shin by light-years but Shin had the upper hand in the situation were speaking about and it's fact that Sakura intervened when they both were in a BAD SPOT that was neutralized by someone else.
