+rep bro. I agree with everything except for the teleporting out of a genjutsu. I just think he's flat out to fast to get caught in a genjutsu. He a kage level ninja and a genius. Bigger genius than itachi. He has a lot of knowledge in his head and something so simple would not get him. Period.

Put some proof that Itachi's genjutsu can be used long range. The other genjutsu beside tsukuyomi only affects vision and movement. naruto was able to know that he was put in a genjutsu. It means that Naruto is still in his state of mind. Let's replace Naruto for Minato, if Minato knows that he is in a genjutsu, can't he get out from the range of those genjutsu? I did not say that he can teleport once he get caught by a tsukuyomi. By the way, sasuke tried to put deidara in a genjutsu but too bad he failed as deidara saw thru his genjutsu. For your info, there are long range genjutsu and short range. It only happens that what Itachi is using are short ranges. Example of long range genjutsu that can affect vision is Bringer-of-Darkness Technique.
Trying to proove? Those are facts! Those are the genjutsu that Itachi fans are screaming about. They don't know that jutsu's have limitations. Just like FTG where Minato needs to tag his enemy, Itachi's genjutsu are short ranges. Itachi fans can't handle the truth. That's a fact!
Did I made up the range of Itachi's genjutsu? Can you all give me some proof that he can use all of those genjutsu listed in long range. If you will do your own research then you will know..What you fail to understand is that Itachi's genjutsu have ranges. Beside tsukuyomi, the others can only affect vision and movement. Minato can use FTG to get out from their range since it will not affect his mind.
Thanks bro. The teleporting part for the other genjutsu is possible since it will not affect Minato's mind. It will only affect movement and vision but not the mind. Those genjutsu are close range. Minato can use FTG to get out from it's range. Those genjutsu are different from tsukuyomi but as I have explained, it's unlikely that Minato will be caught by a tsukuyomi because he's so fast and Itachi need's to close his eyes to switch from a regular sharingan to MS and tsukuyomi is also a close range jutsu. That's enough for him to defeat Itachi. If he was able to defeat 50 men in a blink in an eye, how much can he do to just one man closing his eyes for a sec just to activate MS?

minato doesnt need to get in itachi's face. space time barrier and gamabunta are enough to fight from a distance.

Ok so I empathize for the original poster being flamed.
However, I do not find the original post to be very convincing. Yes, Minato could avoid genjutsu if he never looks at the enemy above the waist. But very simple Minato doesn't have the feats to say his chakra control was great enough to break genjutsu (considering Jiraiya was his teacher and he sucks at genjutsu), nor does he have the feats to fight with out looking at the enemy as a whole. He doesn't know about the one finger jutsu. We've never seen Minato attack someone when they blink so that may be out of character completely. Furthermore, Itachi as we know can perceive attacks and respond to them while his senses (they are all connected) are being overwhelmed. So I don't doubt that he can perceive an attack coming when he closes his eyes. He does have the sharigan to read Minato's movements. And as the poster above me noted Itachi can use genjutsu at long distances so making up distances doesn't reflect well in your behalf.
And lastly Eye sight and Movement are both tied to the mind. If you are controlling either of them you are controlling at least a part of the mind. Also bearing in mind the way in which genjutsu works, chakra is being delivered to your brain to deliver this genjutsu and the way to break it to stop your own chakra flow to your brain or to have someone else insert theirs. If vision is altered you could run directly into enemies blade without knowing it. If movement is impossible you are a sitting duck with or without ftg. But good try.

I stopped reading after this. This is not a Sharingan special Technique. Casting genjutsu is, which is what Itachi did to Kakashi (and would do to Minato), but the reason he looked like paper was because the genjutsu was used on a clone and not that Itachi turned him into a piece of paper. lmfao
