Puppetry is a style of combat practiced by Sunagakure Shinobi.
This technique uses chakra threads to control puppets like marionettes. The threads basically move the puppets by their joints, but can also
activate any traps and hidden weapons. Any number of chakra threads can be used to control a
puppet, but users with more skill can use fewer strings per puppet. Both Chiyo and Sasori demonstrated the ability to control entire puppets perfectly using just one thread. While most puppeteers would normally be able to control ten puppets at most (one per finger), Sasori's self-modification allowed him to control up to one hundred puppets at a time.

My definition: So I'll now give you my definition of puppetry. Puppetry is one of the most open minded and ambiguous fields on the base which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but actually a great thing. You aren't forced to stick with one style of fighting meaning you can create puppets which can be used to help further help in ways such a repairing puppets. Also, you are able to create puppet designs that are only limited to your mind's imagination. Hey! What's stopping you from creatng a puppet design based off of pokemon or Yugioh its all up to you. Puppetry is probably one of the fields that involves details when manipulating puppets. For example, with your chakra threads say you only have one chakra attached to a puppet, and that thread is attached to the puppet's head then you would only be able to mainly perform actions that involve movement of the head. The method of chakra threads is the main medium that is used in order to control puppet's actions through their joints, threads which are usually generated through your finger tips. Some say that a puppeteer's skill comes from the amount of puppets he or she control which is normally ten for the average person, but Sasori was first to manipulate 100 puppets a time making him a true puppet master. Puppet usually are stacked with all sorts of mechanism that the user can manipulate through out battle, but remember custom wise that your puppets aren't allowed to have too many abilites, and if you do give them a lot they usually have to made into a seperate Custom jutsu.

Additionally, puppetry is a field that dates back ages ago from when the Otsutsuki where the first to manipulate puppets. One of the main puppet users is Toneri who was obviously an advanced puppet user because of his innate ability to manipulate puppets without chakra threads, and could simply channel his chakra into them creating dolls controlled at his will. Skilled puppet users also hold the ability to supress control of their chakra threas making it hard for it to be visibly seen to the naked eye. On Narutobase puppet users are generally seen using chakra threads (I'll go into the detail when we get to that one) and manipulating puppets with all sorts of hidden mechanims. Let's not forget about Sasori who had the ability to turn himself into a Human puppet so he couldn't feel pain anywhere but his core which is both a advantage and disadvantage. Sasori can also turn others into puppets and use their kekkei gekai though only a select few can be turned into puppets. Lastly Sasori created a poison which when inhaled or scratched from will do damage over time I'll post links to what you need to know RP Wise on Naruto Base, and.... last thing is how Sasori couldn't have summonings because he can't draw blood. There is also other stuff to go into, but I'll talk about it as we go on

Also you have a cool way of controlling puppets since you don't need threads so when using your puppets you can fight along with them as well over power your enemy.

How do wanna do this RP or analysis ? Questions ?
Ps: There aren't many puppets I can teach you but if you plan on making your own that'd be cool

Analysis.
Toneri puppets are special though if the user get caught in an illusion, can they still move on their own will devoid of my control?
Puppets have eyes, is it possible for it to be linked to my senses even if I can't see as per they have sight.
- Sure I'll make more puppets, with your help though

If you get caught in a genjutsu that wouldn't stop the puppets from moving if they are in the middle of a jutsu

"Otsutsuki shinobi are capable of embedding their chakra into their puppets to allow them to act on their own recognizance as pseudo-sentient beings, independent of the user's direct control. Because they are free enough to act independently they simulate robots or clones in this regard."

Judging from that line then yeah they could move devoid of your will.

And it would just depend on how you went about doing that but, from your puppet jutsu alone you can't but who knows you could possible create something to do that.

Most basic puppet technique tell me what you think, pros, cons, and just overall explain how it works.

(Kugutsu No Jutsu) - Puppetry Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defense/Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10(-4 each turn its used after wards)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes threads of chakra that are used to control puppets.

Below jutsu can be used by all puppets so explain to me how they work, include pros, cons ect

(Chakra No Tate) - Chakra Shield
Rank: C
Type: Defensive
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The puppets arm will pop out in four different directions in almost an umbrella-like manner. The arm segments will surround the puppets hand, and from those segments, chakra will emit, each one making one fourth of an entire circle, making a shield of pure chakra.

(Senbon Ame) - Endless Rain of Senbon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The puppet will open its mouth wide, unleashing a torrent of senbon. All of the senbon are poison-tipped, meaning that a single hit by one could be deadly. These senbon can shower the opponent for as long as the user wishes.

I don't think the first one can be used by me as it has been replaced by the use of green orbs. But its the basic technique for controlling puppets and without it the puppets are pretty just wooden dolls.
The second one is a defense technique of which the puppet dispatches his parts specifically the arms which conjoins in an umbrella like manner to form a shield of raw chakra to defend against C rank and below techs.
The third is more of attack that can be lethal if used well. The puppet will open his mouth unleashing a torrent of senbons which are all tipped with poison that can kill, numb on contact. One thing I like about this is that the puppet can release the senbons for as long as he wishes.

Nah you can still use it but your orbs are like 10x better

1) Now we have the most basic puppet technique that is to be known by all puppeteers. With the puppetry jutsu it allows for the user to do the most basic function of puppets and that is controlling them with threads. There is also, an interesting thing about this jutsu which is the fact that is does not have to be used only on puppets, but can also be used to control actual people. When generating chakra threads it allows for a user to control up to a set amount of puppets on their fingers. This jutsu also has many supplementary usages which should be looked in to. Puppet threads where shown to be quite sticky since they can lift up objects and people so next time looking into the jutsu remember that you could also use to it lift or grapple onto objects such as rocks to throw them at an enemy. It is also important to note that chakra thread reach up to Mid-range which means that a puppets techniques can have its range increase, for example say a puppet has a short-range attack, since the chakra threads reach up to mid-range the range of the puppets attack would therefore be increased which is important to note.

Can only defend from up to D-rank

2) Now we have one of the most basic puppet jutsu which can be used by both cannon puppets and custom ones since it isn't specific to any. The user starts off by chanelling their chakra through their chakra threads, and by opening a valve on the puppet will emit a circle of raw of chakra which can be used as a defensive ward. Also, its important you know that since this is raw chakra that it can only defend against D-rank and below elemental jutsu.

Counts as one of your moves next turn if using longer than one turn

3) Here we have one of the most unique puppetry jutsu available out of the cannon list. This jutsu is pretty useful because it allows for the user to send a large array of poison tipped senbon at a target. The fact that this jutsu is C-rank in strength does not even matter much if you consider that just one scratch from one of the senbon is enough to severely poison a person. Another thing to not over look is the fact that this jutsu can be fired for as long as the user chooses, and I would even go as far to say this jutsu could greatly hinder a person's movements. As seen in the anime the senbon are extremely fast so you will great reflexes in order to avoid all of them. When using this jutsu in an actual fight I would think that closer you are to the enemy the less time the enemy has to react to them. Also, the enemy will have to avoid all of the senbon which means that the more you can limit their movements such as a going in the air or underground increases your chances of a fatal shot. The Underworld swamp jutsu prevents them from going underground but, also traps them in one position leaving them open for a clear shot. If you're trying to prevent then from going in the air you can use the Sticky earth drop technique or the jutsu that summons a dome from above. If using for more than one move then it will cost one of your moves next turn.

Another jutsu that can be used by all puppets you know what to do

(Doku Kemuri) -Poison Smokescreen
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The puppet will open its mouth and shoot out smoke balls that are imbued with poison as well. This can be used to obscure the enemy’s vision and to spread poisonous gas in the area at the same time.

OK.
This is a versatile tech that utilizes the smoke bomb which has been specially designed and pimped with certain features. The puppet opens its mouth and launches smoke balls that spread around the battling field in mere seconds to obscure the opponent's vision and as well as transmits the poisonous gas within it capable of killing a human swiftly. The two actions are simultaneous making it quite formidable.
Question - Does the smoke screen affect me too? As in does it obscure my vision too.
Am I immune to the poisoning also or I get affected too?

The jutsu doesn't have any real affects unless you have a Sasori bio. Yeah it also blinds you and you can also get poisoned if inhaled.

(Doku Kiri Jigoku - Baribari Hyaku Renpatsu) - Poison Mist Hell - 100 Countious Tears
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-MId
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60(- 5 per turn for 3 turns if the target was caught in the mist)
Description: The user send out two puppets. One of the puppets will send out multiple poison bombs.Next both puppets will launch an array of needles that pierce the opponent.
NOTE:Must know puppet jutsu

OK.
It requires two puppets to achieve. The first one sends out an array of poison smoke bombs from its mouth to create a poisonous smoke screen that hinders vision. Said tech is not complete until the both puppets releases a torrent of needles to attack from within the smoke using it as a visage to mask the consequent attack.
