The Puppet Technique is a unique ninjutsu fighting style; this technique uses chakra threads to control puppets like marionettes. Any number of chakra threads can be used to control a puppet, but users with more skill can use fewer strings per puppet.

This technique has few weaknesses:
*The Puppet Technique is a long range style, meaning that the puppeteers are weak against close range fighters. Since most puppeteer use his or her hands to manipulate the puppets, if their hands are disabled, then the technique can be neutralised. And because the puppet's movements are based on the mechanisms that were installed inside, interfering with said mechanisms can stall the puppet entirely.
*While controlling the puppet, the user is wide open if the opponent bypasses the puppet. For this reason, puppeteers avoid hand to hand battle, relying almost exclusively on their puppets instead.
*a puppet's movement is dependent on the will of the user, and as such there will be a time lag between the user's commands and the puppet's response.As a puppeteer's main weapon are the puppets, if all puppets are destroyed or disabled, then the puppeteer in question is left vulnerable.




Also :
The inventor of this technique is Monzaemon Chikamatsu. Originally used for entertainment purposes, he worked diligently with other shinobi to convert the theatrical art into a unique form of combat.

Description: Crow is the very first puppet we see in the series. It was created by Sasori, but is later used by Kankurou. Crow is a three eyed, four armed humanoid. Crow is one of the more basic puppets, but he is able to detach any of its body parts for deadly attacks, almost every joint having a blade at the end, allowing Crow to shoot his arms towards the opponent, and then have them return back to it. Even his head has a blade that can be extended out from the bottom of its neck when detached. This ability made it and Black Ant a very deadly combination. It also has the ability, like most puppets do, to release poison-tipped darts and smokescreens, which sometimes have poisonous gas mixed with them.

Description: Black Ant, created by Sasori, is a puppet that is often used in conjunction with Crow and, later on, Salamander. It has a bucket-shaped face with two red horns and a total of six arms. It, like Crow, has three eyes. Its body resembles a very large barrel, and it is hollow on the inside, making its main use to be that of trapping, while weapons enter the many slots on its body. At any time, Black Ant can literally open its stomach, and trap an opponent, able to extend the two halves of its stomach so that it stretches out and over the opponent from a very fair distance (approximately mid range) and then retracts the stomach back to its original form, closing it with the opponent inside. Its arm segments contain hidden saw-blades. Like Crow, Black Ant can detach its arms for attacks.

(Sanshōuo) Salamander

Description: Salamander is a defensive puppet, though not on the level of defense as that of Hiruko. Salamander, as its name suggests, is built in the form of a large salamander, being one of the largest puppets seen thus far, and though it is not more powerful defensively than Hiruko, it is larger than the other puppet. Salamander is able to rise up a large area on its back to be used as a shield, making a black shield over its head. It, like some other puppets, is hollow, and it can open its back at any time and then rise up its large tail over its head, stretching it out and therefore allowing the puppet user to jump inside of it for protection. Salamander can also spew out fire equal to C rank. Salamander can only be destroyed by one who knows its weak spots, being a weak joint on its side that holds the shield in place and afterwards simply striking it on its back, or by a move of A rank or higher.

Alright start by using your chakra and making threads of chakra that connect to the puppets from your fingers to control the puppets.

Strong points:
Can attack enemies in distance.
The chackra threads cannot be seen easily.
Can control everything that is not alive(doesn't have a will).
Weak points:
If the chackra threads are detected and then cut, the puppets become useless and the jutsu performer may be in danger.
The puppets have a range limit, so they cannot attack the enemy if he is too far away.
The jutsu caster can be widely opened form other attacks if he is concentrated too much in his puppet.
Combinations-strategies:
Can be combined with other puppet techniques.
Can be used in combination with smoke and sensory.
Ways to counter this technique:
If you cut the chackra threads.
If you move far from the puppet so the range that the puppet has cannot catch you.
How to:
By accumulating a considerate amount of chackra in his fingers, the jutsu caster releases his chackra through the strings/threads and by that he can control the puppet.

Can be used to create a small chance for a surprise attack to be launched.
Can be used to run away from battles.
Weak points
It's useless against Sharingan, Rinnengan and Byakugan, because Dojutsu can see through smoke.
Can't be used to attack.
There is a small chance for the user to get attacked as he throws the smoke bombs.
Combinations-strategies
After you drop the smoke bombs any offensive jutsu can be used against the opponent.

Ways to counter this technique
The smoke can be blown away.
Don't let the user jump.

Jutsu Performance
After attaching chakra lines to the crow, jumps into the air and uses the it to release several smoke bombs to your clone. Then the crow is controlled again and used to attack the clone

Puppet Scatter Shot Technique

Strong points
A large number of kunais are hard to dodge.
The technique should be easily performed, just with the movement of one finger.
Kunais are usually thrown from long distances, so there's no risk of the puppet being destroyed.
Weak points
If the Kunais are used for long range attacks, they will loose their speed and force, resulting non-effective.
If the kunais are dodged, there is a chance that that user will not understand where the enemy went because the kunais block his field of view.
Being just tools, the kunais can not cause any other bonus damage to the target.
Combination-strategies
If it is combined with smoke bombs, it can be more effective since the opponent cannot see the kunais coming.
Ways to counter this technique
A wind stream jutsu can blow the kuanis away or a defensive wall jutsu can block them.
If the opponent uses the substitution technique, then it will be hard for the user to understand because of his view field being blocked by the kunais.
Jutsu Performance
Using her chakra threads connected to the crow, Chiyo controls the crow to get in an attacking position, then controls the crow to face the clone, setting the clone on target. After she commands the crow to release many kunais at a fast rate towards your clone from it's various holes(openings). The kunais would rain down on your clone and destroy it.

Use crow and have it bolt at my clone and have it start spinning so it strikes my clone with a rotating force. I would say before you use this jutsu make sure you have your opponent distracted or use this on your opponent's blind slide so he doesnt just destroy your puppet head on.

(Ranbu no Jutsu) - Wild Dance Technique

Strong points
It enables the puppeteer to attack, without putting himself in danger.
It gives the puppeteer time to think/prepare for other jutsus while the opponent is busy fighting crow.
The spinning of the puppet makes it hard for the opponent to see the weapons of the puppet while spinning.(If carrying any.
Weak points
If the user is too focused on the puppet, he is open to the enemy attacks from the sides and behind.
It is short ranged, so if the enemy is too far, the technique is useless.
It is easy to predict the puppet movements, so it's better to use it with smoke bombs or any other techniques.
Combination-strategies
By combining the puppet with swords, the attack becomes more powerful.
Combination with smoke bomb, for better chances of distracting and hitting the enemy.
Ways to counter this technique
By creating an earth wall, the puppet crushes to the wall while it spins.
By using substitution technique, the puppet moves forward while the caster if left defenseless.
Jutsu Performance
To make sure the attack will result successful, i throw a smoke bomb to your clone. While he is distracted, i rise and extend my arm, and then let chackra pass through my fingers, to control Crow with the strings. I immediately bolt Crow towards your clone, while making a hand movement from right to left, indicating the spinning direction of crow. Crow passes towards the smoke created by the bomb, rotating at great speed, making the smoke blow away, but being to close for your clone to react. After being hit by Crow, the clone is destroyed.

Strong points
It is easier than controlling the whole puppet.
The user has a more clear field of view, since he puppet is not moving.
Being a spontaneous jutsu, it is not easy to counter, since the opponent is approaching towards you with great speed.
Weak points
If facing an above mid-average ninja, he would notice the head detaching and would try to hold back and not attack.
The attack is only straight-directional, meaning that it can be avoided by pure reflexes or by substitution techniques.
If the spike is avoided/countered, then it leaves the caster opened to direct attacks.
Combination-strategies
After successfully hitting the opponent with the spike, the user uses the crow's body for a direct attack towards the opponent.
Controlling the head with one hand and the body with the other, the user is in both offensive and defensive positions, making him safe if the spike is countered.(Even though it needs high concentration.)
Ways to counter this technique
Wind Release techniques are very handful since you make air streams from your mouth and blow the spike away.
Jutsu Performance
As i see your clone approach me, i move two fingers of my right hand, that means the detachment of crows head.
I firstly make sure that the fingers movements are slow, for your clone not to understand the situation. When the clone is in the right position, i move my hand backwards, completely detaching crow's head. The clone, surprised, observes as the spike approaches him with great speed and accuracy, but there's nothing that he can do. The spike successfully hits the target, destroying it.

Description: The puppets arm will pop out in four different directions in almost an umbrella-like manner. The arm segments will surround the puppets hand, and from those segments, chakra will emit, each one making one fourth of an entire circle, making a shield of pure chakra.

Use your puppet and have its arm pot out in 4 different directions like an umbrella and use your chakra to have chakra emit from those 4 sections making a shield of pure chakra to protect you from ninja tools.

Can protect you from ninja tools attack.
Can be used with any puppet.
You can also attack with other elemental attacks while the chakra shield is active.
Weak points
Elemental attacks would be hard to block,
If you stay right behind your puppet, you will lose sight of your enemy.
If it is kept active for too long, it may cause fatigue.
Combo/Strategies
Since the puppet is using his arms to create the shield, you can use crow's mouth to throw a kunai at the enemy.
Way to counter the technique
Elemental techniques would be the best way, especially Earth style attacks, since they're very solid.
Jutsu Performance
I manipulate my chakra and attach several strings to the puppet . By performing a hand movement, 2 additional arms were created. I quickly directed them east, west, north and south, then i let raw chakra run through them. A umbrella like chakra shield was created, which protected me from the kunais the enemy threw.

Description: The puppet will open its mouth wide, unleashing a torrent of senbon. All of the senbon are poison-tipped, meaning that a single hit by one could be deadly. These senbon can shower the opponent for as long as the user wishes.

Have any of the puppets open its mouth and have it release a torrent of senbon that are poisoned so when it hits my clone and hurt him.

(Senbon Ame) - Endless Rain of Senbon​


Strong points
The senbon rain can last as much as the user wants.
The senbons are poisonous, so one touch can be deadly.
The senbon range is long ranged, so it is good for enemies that keep a distance.
Weak points
It needs high concentration to keep the target in range, to pinpoint with accuracy.
The senbon shower can be stopped by most of the elemental attacks/defenses.
The longer you keep the senbon shower active, the more chakra you will loose.
Combo/Strategies
By channeling wind chakra to the senbons, the user can make them more sharper and dangerous.
Ways to counter this technique
Earth defensive techniques would prevent the senbons to pass through the hard core of the rock.
Jutsu Performance
By controlling the head of the puppet with my hands, I move one of my fingers and the puppets mouth starts to open. While doings so, i attach one string to the head of the puppet, moving one of my other fingers, which triggered the senbon shower. Your clone tried to avoid the attack but was highly injured.

(Doku Kemuri) -Poison Smokescreen

Description: The puppet will open its mouth and shoot out smoke balls that are imbued with poison as well. This can be used to obscure the enemy’s vision and to spread poisonous gas in the area at the same time.

Have your puppet open its mouth and release smokeballs that have poison smoke so that my clone's view is blocked while he inhales poisonous gas.
