puppet master chakra strings

Why doesn't everyone use the chakra strings which are used by the puppet masters. I mean, it would make fighting a lot easier and be very helpful. You could just use them as tools for everything during a fight and maybe they can also hold chakra, so you could use them to, for example, hold a rasen shuriken and swing it around like a chakra made weapon. Things like explosive kunais or shurikens could also be used much more effective. I wonder why it wasn't taught as a basic jutsu at the ninja academy.

Problem is, it's not a basic technique. It requires a lot of specialized training. Though, you're right. It would be useful for every shinobi to know.

Because it's a secret knowledge that is only transmitted to few people maybe?

Or maybe because it is much harder than it looks, it's not a basic jutsu

it'll take loads of years to master it faster
it requires specialized ninja's to be able to use it
if not then you can take quite a hit*

it's hard to perform......
in part one, sakura/ino (forgot which) was only able to hold down the other using hair to transfer the chakra while puppet masters dont use anything.

so they can control the puppets. puppet use up chakra reserves.

it hard, thats why. . .even a Jonin puppet master like Kankuro still can't even control his puppet properly when it come to Taijutsu combat, but the poison and stuffs is very lethal.
