It is a very important setup arc,it basicly carries on into the next arc so you would need to watch/read it to understand the current arc.

Altho yeah,the kids were annoying as hell

7/10 arc, and if the kids didn't have as much screen time it would have been a 9/10. So just read it so you can get to Dressrosa which imo is the 2nd best One Piece arc.

the last episode that was released was Dressrosa Episode 12 which had episodes 652-655 (Toei)

It's one of the best arcs, and it's really important. Read it.

You have to read it or watch it in order to understand what's happening in the next arc and why. It's basically a setup arc with some good moments.
