Kabuto. If this is early Shippuden one (the threads a little ambiguous) then Kabuto stands a very good chance. The mist is obviously a very big threat to a close-mid range nin like Kabuto who has no sensory abilities but as stated before: Kabuto's best skill minus the medical ninjutsu is his adaptability.

Nobody can beat him in adjusting to unfavourable battle conditions. If he can work out a flipped nervous system in seconds then he can learn to adapt to the mist. Doton, good evasion skills and Kabuto's limited kenjutsu know-how and skill save the day here. Zabuza loses control over one of his arms or his legs and that Kenjutsu is useless. Plus there's also the Kabuto = Kakashi argument if you wanna use that.

how does kabuto counter the mist: this is basic knowledge not full, he doesn't know about water prison or water clones. With sharingan and being the overall superior to kabuto, kakashi would have died alone(naruto saved him)

No you don't understand/didn't read my point. Mid-battle he can adapt to the mist and get used to the disadvantage that would usually cripple other ninja. The mist isn't very useful against Yakushi. And there is no proof that PTS Kakashi is stronger than PTS Kabuto. We're not even having this argument.

Kabuto can hide underground. Also Kabuto only needs mere seconds to adjust considering how quickly he recovered from a whole reflex system flip.
