Hey, anyone can help me out?
If I connect my external Harddrive (which I use for my pc) to my ps4 it does not recognize it.:eww: It says something among the lines (translated) can't recognize file type. I have usb 3.0 so that should not be the problem.

When I plug it into my XboxOne it finds the harddrive but oddly enough if I pick a video file I can't find an option to pick subtitles. I like to watch some anime so I need subs.

Anyone knows why my ps4 can't find a usb hd if not Xbox lovers help me out ... how can I get the option to choose subs?
Thanks for you're support

I'm not positive, but it could be that the PS4 uses a different hard drive format than your PC.

This is a valid point. I think the PS4 allows FAT32 and exFAT. If your external drive isn't in a supported format then it will need to be changed, but any data on it should be backed up before you get too involved in that.

Sony systems only accept files from Sony hard drives and USB's. I learned that in early ps3 days.
