PS4's Need for Speed Rivals more visually impressive than PC version

GAME ANALYST: We spent the first part of our session playing the PC version of Rivals, which ran well, with a PlayStation 4 controller. Later, we switched to the PS4 version and were surprised to find a game that looked even more impressive than its PC counterpart, with better texture detail, improved lighting on cars and sharper graphics overall. The PS4 version did suffer from a higher incidence of issues such as parts of the world failing to load, but developer Ghost Games assured us they would have those problems ironed out in time for launch.

Of course a direct port to a console would place more emphasis in that port than indirect.

Software does not determine hardware's capabilities, rather, hardware determines software's capabilities.

With this in mind, we know that, now the PS4 is developed, their hardware has been stuck in this state. Ergo, any subsequent advance in hardware technology (already been developed) is more advanced than the PS4.

Obviously they tested on a powerful gaming pc.

They tested it on MAX pc graphics and on a gaming pc and ps4 version looked better

i get it, you love ps4 to death. its only natural to delude yourself into thinking that the product that you love and spend money on is better than everyone elses product. To think that something you have spent time, money, and love into would be inferior to something else is not an option in your head. I get it. Sorry though, lol. Current graphics cards are > next gen consoles xD. In fact, i own one. That wont stop me from getting both the ps4 and the xbox one though. i like consoles and pc. As someone that has always had all systems, and will in the future, i can tell you that pc always looks better. especially games meant for the pc and not crappy console ports.

Allow me to solo this one as well with an article by nvidia a GPU manufacturer that manufactured the PS3's gpu.

Nvidia calls the ps4 a low end pc. Which it is, in fact the ps4 has x86 architecture meaning it is a pc. It also has an APU which is non dedicated. An APU is a cpu + GPU put together, like a laptop cpu. The ps4's CPU is a modified AMD 8 core at 1.6ghz.
Here's an AMD 8 core that surpasses it:

It's for PC tho. Even my amd 6300 beats it and it's a 6 core. This is due to the frequency I've set it to which is 4.7ghz at 1.6 volts. The gpu is an ATI 7850 and it's not dedicated, ever wonder why the PS4's ram is gddr5? That's because the GPU inside the ps4 doesn't have dedicated Vram, in fact it has to share it with the ram on the system unlike a PC which has dedicated Vram of GDDR5 along with it's own system memory of DDR3. The ati 7850 gpu is decent, however, I have two in my PC and they are dedicated.

They are in crossfire mode and work as fast as a 7970 that's been overclocked. But guess what? PC power goes even further, because AMD has an ATI 7990.

And then you can crossfire it, putting two in your system, not that'd you'd ever need it, a 7870 XT will do fine this generation or even a regular 7870.

Nvidia says it does not. I think they know as well, there's only two main GPU companies and those are ATI and Nvidia.
Also, if games are made on the PC, how can it not have the ability to display the graphic detail of a ps4? That's because it's rubbish. Now then, if I want to go further, I can go on and on about how you can just use enb series graphic mods, texture packs that give high resolution detail and more but I'll end it off with my next sentence:

AMD made the the cpu and gpu for the ps4, however, they also have been making pc parts since the early 90's and are mainly a PC company, the PS4 has x86 architecture, it is a PC and because it's parts are not entirely custom and are made by AMD with refference models given such as the cpu type and gpu type, it clearly shows the proof that there are models above them. It's proven that a PC can be more powerful than the PS4, just notthe PC's you buy at walmart/bestbuy which is the audiance they are targeting. People who do not build custom pc's. And yes, the PS4 is more powerful than a computer you'll find at walmart, but not one you'll find on newegg.


Edit: Oh and it doesn't have 32gb of ram, it has a 32gb bandwidth which is ram speed of data transfer. It actually has only 4gb. Price of the ps4 cannot be under how much the parts actually cost. Business 101.
