I'm not entirely sure there will be a next gen in 10 years. I honestly believe the way we game now will not be the same way in 10 years. It's all going to be cloud computing and most likely going to have a money grab after every turn you make.

Yes probably, but like I said, it doesnt have to be consoles - PS5 could be a holographic gaming who knows, as long as we see a real improvement

Or like you said, if PS4 had reached pc level, it'dve been a real improvement to the ps3.

I don't think so. Remember when GTA san andreas had the "best graphics ever", and it was so "awesome and realist"? Then resident evil 4?
Things improve. Of course, nowadays graphics(ps3 and xbox 360) are much more closer to reality, so it won't improve as much as it has improved. In the end, we'll be playing a full HD movie with total scenario destruction(at least I hope so). And when that happens, I believe they'll start working on the "enter the game"(like SAO).

thats what i meant^^ the improvement isnt that great(yet) and i might b possible that it wont get any better soon. but you never know...like 30 years ago u need like a building for one mb of data now there are usb sticks with like 64gb .-.
there is literally no prediction whatsoever what might come..

Maybe because PS3 actually was a big success? and they felt the need to juice more money out of us - they took advantage of their reputation this time, but I'm certain if ps4 dont improve much, most gamers will lose some faith in sony.

You won't notice a massive change just yet, They aren't going to create games that push ps4/xbox 1 to their full potential right off the bat.
With games such as Cod and BF4 the difference between ps3 and ps4 is slightly better graphics and 60fps instead of 30.

Give it a year or so and with each game release you will see an improvement.

To be honest, all consoles are the same when they are first realised.
There aren't many games available. And the majority of the ones that are available are also available on the PS3 (and aren't next-gen only).
Once some decent next-gen titles come out, both new consoles will start to shine.
But at the moment, there just isn't enough games/features available to keep people interested.

You can upgrade your PS4 HD to A 2TB HD Drive & what's after BluRay? it's Digital only. I highly don't think you'd like that.

I know that, but the PS4 was meant to be like the Xbox One with DRM. But Sony waited for MS to dance first to see the reaction. And so Sony had to do A Day One Update as well as you probably know.
