Recently I brought a new PS3 500gb super slim. The problem is that when I turn it on it works fine, as I sign in to my psn account literally 10minutes later it will sign me out with error code, It's extremely frustrating especially when I am playing MW3.

It works absolutely fine when I connect via Ethernet cable, I have reset my router, tried looking online for help which did to some extent help but the problem seems to be still there.

I would really appreciate it if you could avail me from this disastrous situation.

Kind Regards

Okay have u try to see if firmware is up to date? And how old is your router?
It's up to date.
Sounds like an internet problem or router problem.
Problem is which one
Fibre optic internet? What's the distance between your PS3 and your router?
Distance.. I get an average of 80%
Check your connection bro/ psn's server could be down in your area
I have 2 PS3's the slim seems to work fine. It's the super slim that seems to cut out on connection.

You might have gotten one with a defective receiver, it happens.

If you don't have the receipt to take it back, I would call the help number under the sony warranty that comes with it. Cause if that's the case, that's something that you have to get replaced, it's not easy to fix.

Step one

1.Reset the console
2. Turn it off and wait a day( sometimes your problem happens to me, but than i just turn it off and wait a day and it gets fixed)
3.Just used wired
4.TRUST ME ON THIS BRO LISTEN HERE
Sometimes it kicks you out when your router is blocking it, before i used to get random connection interruptions and i had nat type 3 but than i changed some router settings from my laptop and it got fixed(see your setting because sometimes the router does not allow ps 3 to connect with it for a long time, you need to change it so it trusts it)
THIS is probably the answer because when you connect your ps3 wired than it works since the router trusts wired connections most of the time.

If none of the above help

FIRST try to get a friend's xbox or ps3, get it to connect and play around on it. If you have the same problem call your internet provider and tell them to change your options.

Hey man, I had this problem for a while too. What usually happens is your router designates your ps3 that another system in your house already has. Whether it be a phone, computer, etc. Anything that is using the internet gets designated an IP address. Basically you're going to make up an IP address that you can designate your PS3. First you must use your computer to find the computer's IP address:

Windows 7:
1. Click the wireless/wired symbol in the bottom right corner.
2. Right click the connection you're connected too and click status.
3. Click the details button on the new popup.
4. Copy down your IPv4 IP. It might be something like 192.0.0.1 In which case you'll simply go into your PS3's Network settings, and customize the way your PS3 connects to the internet. Basically when you get to the Primary and Seconary DNS, you'll want to input the same type of IP your computer had. So if your computer's IP was the one from above(192.0.0.1); the IP you would put into the PS3 would be: 192.0.0.2 If that doesn't work, you'll need to try 192.0.0.3 or so on until it works.

If it still doesn't work shoot me a PM and I'll tell you a few more things about the subject.
