[PS2] PS2 sound issue

After finally hooking up my PS2, and getting a few good games from a friend, I've finally begun playing Final Fantasy X. However, the sound does not work. At all.

The sound fails to work for all of the games.

I was forced to use a PS1 cord to connect the PS2 to my tv. Could that be the reason? Picture is fine, its the sound thats not right.

true...but the PS2 was the first system I bought with MY OWN money. Had a lot of good memories on that system....

Finally fixed the sound issue, by the way. Turns out my Tv's audio input is way farther away from video input. I'm used to it being-

R-A-V

But mine was

R-SHIT DONT WORK-Video -Five other plugs- Audio.

Ps2 was the first system I bought by myself as well. That era along with Gamecube, and Xbox was amazing. Don't worry about what guy above said, just enjoy the classics.
